CrimeMagazine.com - The bizarre life and grisly death of an Irish conwoman, JULIA HOLMES - June 2016

JULIA HOLMES, the three-times married but never divorced Irish grifter was wanted on both sides
Holmes with her third husband Tom Ruttle
of the Atlantic and spent many years on the run from the FBI, the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) and an Garda Siochana (Police in the Irish Republic).  She became a confidence trickster at a young age and began using up to 20 different aliases to help her ply her fraudulent trade.  In the early 1980s, she crossed the Canadian border into the USA and made her way down south to Texas. Once there, she and her new husband schmoozed with Republic Party officials including then Vice President, Dan Quayle while she ran a real estate racket selling non-existent land in Ireland and conned her Texan friends out of more than half a million dollars.
Holmes spent 27 months in a Texan prison before being deported back to Northern Ireland where she set herself up as a “sports guru” and psychologist and tried to befriend members of both the Irish and English national rugby teams.
When she was charged with defrauding a man in Northern Ireland out of £18,000 and involvement in a property scam worth one million pounds, she fled south to the Irish Republic. As soon as she settled in County Limerick, she established a new identity and found a new husband. In Limerick, even as the police net closed in around her, she made a fortune selling “fake honey” to gullible supermarkets and upmarket shop owners. Knowing that she would soon be captured, she went into hiding. She was last seen in Askeaton, Co. Limerick on March 14, 2015. One month later, her badly decomposing body was found by burglars attempting to rob the isolated farmhouse she shared with her third husband.  You can read her tragic story on CrimeMagazine.com here.

The Peculiar Sex Life of Adolf Hitler by Siobhán Pat Mulcahy - Amazon eBook, 498 pages, BUY HERE - €5.25

HITLER'S ABUSIVE childhood, his mother fixation, his inner sense of failure and depression, his poor health, his warped philosophy and sexual impotence, his drug addiction and Parkinson’s disease [from 1935], his predominant homosexual tendencies and his ‘perversions’ all affected his attempts to have romantic liaisons with the opposite sex. The fact that he had undersized genitals and only one testicle did not help his cause or his confidence when dealing with women,” (Siobhan Pat Mulcahy: 2015)  View Table of Contents...
His Munich chauffeur, Julius Schreck fulfilled Hitler's fantasies about the great love between a powerful man and his obedient servant. One of Hitler’s most treasured possessions was a love letter written by the homosexual Bavarian-King Ludwig to his coachman and lover for 20 years, Richard Hornig, for which he had paid a fortune when it came up for auction.
…The other man in the Landsberg love triangle was Rudolf Hess (b.1894-d.1987) described politely by some scholars as “a somewhat neurotic member of the Nazi party”. Gay lawyer, Erich Ebermayer (Ebermayer Diary: 1959) said: “In view of all who have an intimate knowledge of the circumstances, Hess, known in Party circles as ‘Black Emma,’ was for many years the Fuhrer’s partner, especially during their joint detention in Landsberg.” Ebermayer pointed out that after his release from prison in 1925, Hess served for several years as Hitler’s personal secretary in spite of having “no official rank in the Nazi Party”.
Like so many of the Hitler paintings floating around after his death, the Fuhrer personality was a fake. It masked the internal struggle raging between his masculine and feminine self. Women may have thrown themselves at his feet during his speeches but in reality, Hitler was an extreme turn-off as a sexual being.
As historian Joseph Howard Tyson said, it was only when he was sick and tired of paying off blackmailers who knew of his homosexuality that he decided in the late 1920s to “go straight”. In fact, the first time he is known to have had a girlfriend, he was already 37 while the unlucky girl in question, Maria Reiter, was aged only 16. Also, while he attempted to conduct his heterosexual relationships, he continued to enjoy secret dalliances with men in the background.

Hitler is known to have had seven “heterosexual” relationships. And though he had rejected the Catholic Church during WW1, he chose Catholic, convent-educated teenagers as his ideal [Aryan] woman. He also enjoyed the company of women, usually actresses, with sexual experience who were not afraid to indulge his darkest fantasies.
Five of the seven women Hitler had sexual contact with committed suicide and the other two attempted suicide but failed. Four of the women were aged 16 or 17 when he first made sexual advances toward them. (Henriette Hoffmann was aged only 13 when he molested her but they did not have a relationship
).

There are chapters in the book covering each of Adolf Hitler's gay relationships with August Kubizek, Reinhold Hanisch,  Ernst Schmidt, Rudolf Hess, Julius Schreck, (and bodyguards and chauffeurs: Emil Maurice, Christian Weber and Ulrich Graf); there are also chapters on each of his suicidal girlfriends, when he tried to “go straight”,  these include: Suzi Liptauer, Maria Reiter, Geli Raubal, Renate Mueller, Unity Mitford, Inge Ley and Eva Braun (and his dalliances with actresses Jenny Jugo and Leni Riefenstahl and his "intimacy" with Princess Stephanie von Hohenloe are also covered). The beginning of the book has a chapter devoted to both of Adolf Hitler's parents and their influence on his sexuality; his mother Klara Hitler, for whom he had a bizarre mother fixation, the woman he loved and had sexual fantasies about, and of course his father, Alois Sr. whose savage beatings Adolf Hitler, ultimately enjoyed .The book is 498 pages long and costs €5.25.here

The Peculiar Sex Life of Adolf Hitler - IRISH EXAMINER review: April 2016

Julius Schreck, Hitler's Munich chauffeur, occasional bodyguard and doppelganger, fulfilled the German dictator's fantasy of the love between a powerful man and his obedient and loyal servant. They were lovers from 1931 until Schreck's death from meningitis in 1936.

ADOLF HITLER, the man responsible for the deaths of more than 70 million people continues to divide historians and researchers. What was the origin of his evil? How could such a thing have happened?
A few years ago, I wrote an article for CrimeMagazine.com called ‘The real Adolf Hitler’. The article received over 30,000 hits on the internet in the days following publication. It seems people continue to be fascinated by him. During my research, I discovered that the German dictator liked Catholic convent school girls and had many homosexual partners. My interest in his life increased. If a man’s sexuality cannot tell you who he really is or was, then nothing else will. VIEW BOOK SAMPLE
The Peculiar Sex Life of Adolf Hitler is the culmination of almost two years writing and research. It analyses all the phases of Hitler’s sexual experiences: His early mother fixation, his long-term homosexual phase, and his final years as a “reluctant heterosexual”.

TRUE CRIME WRITER - The Wimbledon Tennis Killer - July 2015 on CrimeMagazine.com

Other tennis  players have been convicted of theft, tax evasion, embezzlement, and drug offenses but only one Wimbledon player has ever been convicted of murder. Vere St. Leger Goold had money, style and good looks and his adoring fans expected him to win the Wimbledon final.  He had battled so hard to get there. Instead, the “wild Irishman” with a razor sharp volley and magnificent backhand lost the match – which should have been his finest hour. Years later, he would be arrested in Marseilles with a dead woman's head in a "hat box".

True Crime Writer - IRELAND'S DRIPPING KILLER, KATE WEBSTER - published in CrimeMagazine.com - October 2014

The Irishwoman pictured during her trial for murder

VICTORIAN Britain was horrified by a 30-year-old Irish woman who murdered her employer, dismembered the body, threw bits of it into the river Thames, boiled the head (and other body parts) and sold the fat as "dripping" in local pubs. She blamed two innocent men for the crime and when that didn't work, she pretended to be pregnant so that the judge wouldn't give her the death penalty.
Such was her notoriety that Madame Tussaud's rushed to create a wax statue of her which remained on display in London for 80 years. Read the story of the DRIPPING KILLER on CRIMEMAGAZINE.COM  HERE

JIHAD ON TWITTER: DOES ANYBODY GIVE A DAMN? (NOVEMBER 2013)

While global Jihadists spread their extremist propaganda around the globe on Twitter, British extremists are trying to do the same - laughing at Remembrance Day and British soldiers, demanding Shariah law for all British women, dreaming of when the black Muslim flag will fly over Westminster and demanding a British Jihadi revolution. True Crime Writer - Jack the Ripper suspect Francis Tumblety's Irish origins - Anglo Celt - October 2013

It has been a mystery for decades.

Tumblety posing as a Union soldier in the 1860s
Where was prime Jack the Ripper suspect, Francis Tumblety born? The quack doctor, charlatan and liar claimed he was born "near Dublin" but he was always vague about his connection with Ireland. Over time, as other researchers tried and failed to find any evidence of him or his life in the old sod, I guessed they might be searching in the wrong place or at least the wrong city. The Irish name "Tumblety" with its many spellings originated in Ireland's border counties: Cavan, Fermanagh and Down so I began my search in that region. A letter to the Anglo-Celt newspaper asking for help solved the puzzle. More specifially, a midnight phonecall from a Cavan woman led me to write the story "Jack the Ripper - Francis Tumblety's Cavan Origins". You can read this story published in the Anglo-Celt newspaper here.

True Crime Writer - ADOLF HITLER: 10 Things You Never Knew About Him - CRIMEMAGAZINE.COM -June 2013

During WW2, American psychiatrists labelled him a "schizophrenic" and "psychopath". Winston Churchill
wanted to borrow an electric chair from the USA so he could be executed like a "common criminal" in Britain. But what's the truth about the man behind the dictator's mask?
Adolf Hitler was one of life's pathetic losers - a school dunce, a failed artist, a sexual impotent, a sociopathic racist and a drug addict.  Read my feature story "Adolf Hitler - 10 Things You Never Knew About him" published in CRIMEMAGAZINE.COM here.

True Crime Writer - SHOCKING DEATHBED MURDER CONFESSIONS - CrimeMagazine.com - JUNE 2014

Mark "Chopper" Read
When death stares them in the face, even cold-blooded murderers sometimes feel the need to unburden themselves before they go. Perhaps they do it so they can leave the world with a “clear conscience” or maybe they do it to benefit the people they will leave behind. Some of these deathbed murder confessions are harrowing in the extreme. Australia's most notorious killer makes four more murder confessions from his deathbed, Terminally ill Londoner confesses to strangling a man and burying him under concrete, Pillar of the community makes deathbed confession to murder so he could “cleanse his soul” then he doesn't die, Hollywood actress confesses to killing a movie director but the crime remains “unsolved” and many more. Read my feature story: "SHOCKING DEATHBED MURDER CONFESSIONS" published in CrimeMagazine.com here.

True Crime Writer: IS SERIAL KILLER STEVE WRIGHT INNOCENT? March 2013

Wright's five victims
The murders of five prostitutes by the Suffolk Strangler in 2006 set off one of the largest manhunts in British history. DNA evidence led to the arrest and conviction of a man who admitted he had sex with four of the five dead women, but was he the actual serial killer? What about the driver of the blue BMW which was hardly mentioned in court? Is the real Suffolk Strangler still on the loose? Read my story "Did police get the Wright man?" published online as a feature in CRIMEMAGAZINE.COM in pdf format here. Twitter: @siopatmul

True Crime Writer: BOTCHED EXECUTIONS - the Rope, Gun, Chair, Chamber & Needle - March 2012

Nazi Amon Goeth, Botched Hanging
SINCE time began, man has found ways to put people to death. Winston Churchill wanted to execute Adolf Hitler – who he described as the “mainspring of evil” - like a gangster in an electric chair but he never got the chance. Ancient methods of capital punishment included boiling people to death in tar, throwing the convicted onto sharp stakes in the ground and slow crucifixion. But are modern methods any more dignified?
From hanging to the firing squad, from the gas chamber to lethal injection - man has yet to invent a “humane” method of putting people to death. Read my feature article BOTCHED EXECUTIONS published in MASTER DETECTIVE magazine (March 2012) here.

TRUE CRIME - MODERN DAY SERIAL KILLERS & JACK THE RIPPER - TRUE DETECTIVE MAGAZINE 2011

MODERN DAY SERIAL KILLERS Peter Sutcliffe, Robert Hansen, Gary Ridgway, Robert Pickton and Steven Wright are known to be responsible for the murders of more than 100 women – mainly prostitutes. Between them, they claim to have killed more than 150 women, though even this figure may be higher.
When each serial killer's profile is examined, there are many similarities across their lives, including: family background, academic ability, employment record, criminal record (prior to murder), motive and character traits. I've used these similarities to create a retrospective profile of the most infamous prostitute killer of them all – JACK THE RIPPER.
You can read my new profile of Jack the Ripper published as an 8-page pull-out in
TRUE CRIME magazine (Issue: October 2011)

TRUE CRIME - PROFILE OF THE LONG ISLAND SERIAL KILLER - YAHOO NETWORK - JANUARY 2012

Long Island victims
In the Long Island Serial Killer case, New York police have only identified 5 of the 10 victims. They believe all the women and the man dressed in women's clothing had worked as prostitutes and that the baby belonged to one of the women. Forensic testing of the victims' remains has revealed that some of the murders may have taken place as far back as 1996.
Using the results from the comparisons between 5 modern day serial killers (now in jail) and recent police and newspaper reports concerning the Long Island murders, it is possible to create a detailed profile of the killer who has yet to be caught.
